Re-purposed rusty chandelier to front citronella candle holder

IMG_3704 (2)It is almost time to worry mosquitoes again!!! My son Tucker and my husband John do not seem to ever be affected by them but I am. I have started to strategically put citronella stations at all my hangout areas around my home. Sometimes I get real hard core and make my own citronella candles:) I am sure that post will be coming soon!

I found these cute little recycled plastic citronella candles for $1 each at Fred’s (local dollar store)

My mother gave me a rusty old chandelier that use to hang and my grandmother’s house because she knows how much I love stuff like that and it was my grandmothers:). I have been dying to use it on my porch. I removed all the wiring and lighting fixture areas.

To make it hang down low enough so that I can light the candles I used some extra chain I had laying around. Adding a S hook allows it to be taken down in case bad weather rolls threw.
