Mason Jar, Strawberry & Cherry Blossom Themed Baby Shower

I threw a shower for my friend Erin last weekend. She loves strawberries and picked out an invite with mason jars and cherry blossoms on it. The baby shower theme of course needed to be Mason Jars, Strawberries & Cherry Blossoms.

I made homemade strawberry lemonade.

  • 8 large strawberries, halved | Garnish ~optional & 2 cups strawberries hulled to process in the food processor
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar (I also made some with Stevia because Erin is a Diabetic)
  • 7 cups water
  • divided 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice | organic if you can find them
  1. Place strawberries in a blender; top with 2 tablespoons sugar. Pour 1 cup water over sugared strawberries. Blend until strawberry chunks transform into juice.
  2. Combine strawberry juice, 6 cups water, 1 cup sugar, and lemon juice in a large pitcher; stir until blended.
  3. Chill for 8 hours
  4. Strain pulp and seeds before serving.
~Garnish with Mint and halved large strawberries & maybe buy some fun straws got mine here SDWholesaleparty shop.

~I purchased mason jars with handles & painted each with chalk paint so that each guest could right their name on them and take them home.

Any mom knows how difficult it can be when you first get home with your little one and in the years to come. I came up with the idea to put funny memories of when my friend Erin was little, mom advice or just something to inspire her on those days she is needing it.

I painted a sign I found at a local store with chalk paint and personalized it for the baby’s room. Also, naturally died branches can make an interesting center piece for a shower. I add some little cherry blossom flowers I made with felt and green satin. To add a light element I punched holes in tin cans, painted them white, threaded string handles on them and added battery operated tealights. This will put pretty little stars all over baby Willow’s nursery.
